Education Is The Key

Is education the key? Well in my opinion education is they key, but i do not think you should have to get good marks in school to be considered educated. Everyone learns and is educated in  different way. For example I am not the best in school, but this does not mean I am not educated. I am educated in sports and media, and some people are not educated the way I am. So yes education is the key but people should not be able to judge if your educated by the grades you have or do not have.

Chrismas

In my opinion Christmas is not about the gifts, of course its nice to get that new game you wanted or new cell phone you have been wanting all year. But Christmas is about family, its a time where you should all get together and spend time together. Every year my favorite part of the holidays is when my grandparents come over. We laugh, play cards, have Christmas dinner and most importantly spend time together. So even though its nice to get lots of gifts from other, the best gift you can get is spending time with your family.

closing comments

To start off I had a lot of fun this semester and I would recommend this course to my friends. I learned a lot in the course about how to write in different styles. I really liked how we  would have are work edited before we handed in a final copy, it helped me see other opinions and see the mistakes I made. There is not much i would change about this course except for less poetry. This is only because i do not like doing poetry very much, other than that I would not change a thing.

Journalistic Ethics thoughts

In my opinion if a journalist chooses to steal/ copy someones work, or make up things that are not true there should be consequences. I think the person should be fined for the first offence, and put in jail for a second offence. The people should be refunded if they have bought the piece of writing and should get a split of the fine that the journalist has to pay. After the person is found guilty, they should not be able t make money of the movie/writing. The product should be pulled off the shelf and not be put back on at a later time.

POETRY ANALYSIS

“The Haunt”

Stan Rogal is a poet writer and playwright. He was born in Vancouver but now lives in Toronto. Stan is a co-founder of Bald Ego Theatre. Some of his work includes Outlaws, Legend and Cowboy Dreams.


In particular, I really like the lines

This caught my attention because of the metaphor that the author use. I the meaning behind this is talking about people or someone that is in there own little "perfect world" and that person world starts to fade and not be so perfect anymore. They start to find out that there world is not real and it was just a figure of their imagination

I like the image it sets in my head about it not being a real world and just being a mirage for someone.

voting age

In my opinion the voting age should be lowered to 16. I think this because at 16, teens can drive a car work. since teens can do those thing, they should be able to vote on who they want to run the country. Teens are the future of the the world. They should be able to vote and have a say what goes on inn the country that they will be living in for many years to come.

The Adaptable Mind

In my opinion I demonstrate the trait "Curiosity" because I always ask lots of questions. For example I am curious and want to know what is going on and what I can do to get involved. In the future I plan to continue to develop my personal growth by getting better at the other four traits.
